Como coincidirá con la llegada del presidente estadounidense Barack Obama, consideramos apropiado, además, en medio de toda la fiesta, recordar la carta que le enviamos.

CARTA ABIERTA A MIS AMIGOS CUBANOS en víspera dela visita de Barack Obama a Cuba

Amigo míos:
Estados Unidos es la eterna anaconda imperialista que continúa queriéndose “tragar” a Cuba. Ahora que se avizora el fin del embargo, mis amigos cubanos tienen que ser pacientes, unir fuerzas para reconstruir la dañada economía cubana.
Esa misma economía que resultó tan afectada durante 60 años de injusticia mediante el embargo norteamericano. La estructura social de Cuba, en cambio, es única en el mundo y ahora finalmente pudiera despuntar hacia el éxito, gracias –pronto- al acceso irrestricto a las economías mundiales y a los mercados monetarios. Cubanos, por favor, no se dejen tentar por las promesas estadounidenses de tener una vida de lujos, diciéndoles que todo lo que tienen que hacer es deshacerse de Fidel y de su gobierno para así vivir en el paraíso.
Los norteamericanos, e incluso varios de sus amigos y parientes que emigraron hacia Estados Unidos por razones económicas, pudieran crearles la ilusión que la vida en Estados Unidos y bajo el emporio estadounidense le va a garantizar lo que hasta ahora les ha faltado. Por lo que pudieran recibir a corto plazo (Coca Cola, televisores y autos más modernos, acceso a las drogas y al modo de vida norteamericano- PERDERÍAN todo aquello por lo que sus padres lucharon y dieron sus vidas. PERDERÍAN sus viviendas gratuitas, la salud pública gratuita, la educación gratuita, la electricidad gratuita, el agua gratuita y la posibilidad de mantenerse alejados de la explotación de los capitalistas.
Recuerden por qué sucedió la Revolución, recuerden lo que era Cuba bajo el régimen de Batista y de la dominación estadounidense. ¿Quieren regresar a aquellos días oscuros de la opresión? Yo he estado varias veces en Estados Unidos y he podido ver con mis propios ojos a los desamparados y a los enfermos viviendo en las calles, sin abrigo. He visto personas mendigando dinero para comprar drogas, bebidas, alimentos y servicios de salud. He experimentado la discriminación racial. He visto como aquellos que no son blancos con frecuencia son golpeados y asesinados por la policía.
Y toda persona que no sea blanca, a menos que se llame Barack Obama, es una persona de segunda categoría. La Constitución no le garantiza protección de la misma forma que lo hace con los blancos. HÁGANLE LA SIGUIENTE PREGUNTA A SUS AMIGOS O PARIENTES que los visitan o les envían regalos: ¿ES CUBA SIN LAS RESTRICCIONES DEL EMBARGO NORTEAMERICANO UNA CUBA MAS RICA, UN LUJAR MEJOR PARA VIVIR QUE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS?
Soy conferencista de temas económicos y como tal trabajé, entre 1984 y 1993, en la URSS (Rusia), impartiendo conferencias a los funcionarios estatales con la esperanza de prepararlos para el cambio, el cambio de la economía estatal planificada a la economía capitalista, totalmente libre pero egoísta. ¿TUVE ÉXITO EN MI TAREA? NO. Los rusos, sin haber aprendido nada tras 70 años de educación soviética, se dejaron arrastrar por el mundo de ensueños del mundo occidental, el mismo que vemos en los filmes norteamericanos. Yo acuñé una frase: se dejaron arrastrar por la DEMOCRACIA DE LA COCA COLA. El pueblo ruso en aquel momento le entregó el poder a la mafia, a gente egoísta y avara, a ex funcionarios gubernamentales que robaron los bienes del Estado para su propio beneficio y que ahora viven como multimillonarios en Estados Unidos y en Europa.
EGOISMO QUE LA PALABRA CLAVE. El egoísmo es el mayor enemigo de una economía social de mercado. Mi precepto es simple: cualquier sistema socioeconómico que quiera alcanzar el éxito para todo el pueblo de una nación DEBE PLANIFICAR LA ECONOMIA sobre la base de los principios de OFERTA Y DEMANDA, y producir eficazmente a través de una gestión de compartición de las ganancias (justamente proporcionado entre el CAPITAL y la FUERZA LABORAL). Si la gente creyera y obedeciera los diez mandamientos de la Biblia, si echaran a un lado su egoísmo y su avaricia, y siguieran las REGLAS BASICAS DE LA ECONOMIA, tendríamos un mejor lugar, tendríamos menos delitos y mucha más equidad social. MIS AMIGOS CUBANOS, EL FUTURO ESTÁ EN SUS MANOS. ACTUEN COMO PATRIOTAS, amen su nación y construyan el futuro sobre las bases que sus padres crearon para ustedes. Si la plataforma social que sus padres han creado es la envidia del mundo, ahora con disponibilidad de capital ustedes podrán también crear la riqueza que la sociedad cubana necesita para sustentarse económicamente. OPEN LETTER TO MY CUBAN FRIENDS —
on the eve of the visit of Barrack Obama to Cuba.

Amigo mios–
The USA is the eternal Imperialistic anaconda who continues, to wanting to ‘swallow’ Cuba.
Now that the end of the embargo is in sight you–my cuban friends must be patient, join forces to rebuild the damaged Cuban economy.
The economy that was damaged during 60 odd years of injustice through the US embargo.
The Cuban social strucures, in place, are unique in the world and can now be made to succeed finally, through having —soon–unrestricted access to the world economies and money markets.
Cubans, please, do not be tempted to fall for the US promises of having a life of luxury —telling you that all you have to do is to get rid of Fidel and your government–to live in paradise.
The Americans –and even some of your friends and relatives who went to emigrate to the US as economic migrants–may create to you the illusion, that life in the USA or under the rule of theUSA –will provide all you have lacked economically to date.
For what you may gain in the short term–Coca cola, newer TV’s & cars, access to Drugs and the American way of life—
YOU WILL LOOSE everything that your parent have fought for and died for.
YOU WILL LOOSE free housing, free healthcare,free education, free electricity, free water, AND that you can be free from exploitation by the Capitalists.
Remember why the Revolution happened–remember what Cuba was like under Batista and the rule of the USA.
Do you want a return to these dark days of oppression?
I have been many times to the US and have seen with my own eyes the homeless and sick people, living on the streets/without shelter.
I have seen people begging for money to buy drugs,drink,foods and for medical care.
I have experienced racial discrimination – seen regularly non whites being beaten/or killed by the police.
A none white ,unless his name is Barrack Obama is still a second class person–the constitution does not protect him as it will protect the white people.
ASK YOUR FRIENDS OR RELATIVES who visit you or send you presents–THE FOLLOWING QUESTION :
IS A CUBA WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS OF THE US EMBARGO/ NOT A WEALTHIER CUBA / NOT A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE THAN THE USA?
Iam a lecturer of economics and as such have been working –between 1984–1993 in the USSR/Russia–lecturing to soviet state officials–hoping to prepare them for the change, from state/planned economy to a free/ but totally selfish capitalist economy.
DID I SUCCEED IN MY TASK?
NO.
The Russians –not knowing any different after 70 years Soviet education, just fell for the dream world, of the Western way AS SEEN IN AMERICAN MOVIES.
I coined a phrase; they fell for COCA COLA DEMOCRACY.
The Russian people, at that time handed over power to the Mafia/ to greedy selfish people/ex state officials who robbed the state assets for their own benefit–and now live the life of billionaires in the USA & Europe.
SELFISH IS THE KEY WORD.
Selfishness is the big enemy of a social market orientated economy.
My belief is simple :
any social/just economic system —
wanting to be successful for ALL THE people of a Nation
SHOULD PLAN THE ECONOMY on the principles of
SUPPLY AND DEMAND
& producing effectively through
JUST Profit Sharing
(justly proportioned between CAPITAL AND LABOUR)
If people believed and obeyed the 10 commandments of the bible,
dropped their Selfishness/Greed
and followed the BASIC ECONOMIC RULES–
we would be a better people, have less crime and much greater social equality.
MY CUBAN FRIENDS, THE FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS.
BE Patriots , love your nation and build on what good basis your parents have created for you.
If people believed and obeyed the 10 commandments of the bible,
dropped their Selfishness/Greed
AND followed the BASIC ECONOMIC RULES–
we would be a better people, have less crime and much greater social equality.

Live as Cuban Patriots–the social platform your parents have created, is the envy of the world–now with Capital soon being available–you can create also the wealth the Cuban Social society requires to fund itself.
